Are you concerned about the state of world affairs? Do you think things are getting better? Do you think Obama's policies are having a positive effect on the world, a detrimental effect or neutral? Please share your thoughts. Let's get the conversation going, and maybe we can learn something through the sharing of ideas. Maybe someone has a solution to offer, or an insight to share. Thanks for participating!
Concerned? No. Scared? Yes, very. I'm 39 and now, not only do I worry about my own health, but I now have to think in terms of what "so called healthcare" is going to be like when my parents retire and what it might be that I'm going to have to deal with in their older days. I've NEVER seen so many different things thrown at the system, so quickly. Swine Flu is getting a lot of air time now, both on t.v. and news websites. I think this is going to be the "need it now, read it later" issue that will get Socialized healthcare passed in the fall. In the eyes of the media and several in D.C., my grandfather is in the mob, yet Bill Ayers is a productive member of society, yet Kenneth Gladney gets attacked and assulted at a Townhall Meeting, but NO support from the ever loving t.v. hogs Rev. Sharpton and Rev. Jackson??? Lots of topics thrown out there, I'll stop for now.
Kenneth, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I wanted to wait before responding to give others a chance to share. It seems people are choosing to be silent because they are still in "wait and see" mode.
While what we are witnessing is "scary", I wouldn't describe myself as being "scared". I am more apt to get angry than to get scared. I am concerned that the direction of the Country is opposite what our Founding Fathers created with the Constitution. It upsets me that people really "don't care".
Being a Follower of Christ I also find it amazing to be witnessing prophesy being fulfilled. That is AMAZING. And it makes me feel honored that God has included me in this period of History. I will continue to speak about what I believe to be right. But I will not get discouraged that I may not be seeing progress directly. After all it takes time for an oak tree to grow to it's fullest. Plant the seeds, and let God do the watering!
