Resuscitate Your Life with C.P.R.

Is it true that Conservatives have no solutions and can only complain about Liberals?

I have heard many times that Conservatives have offered no solutions to problems America faces. Some people have asked ME to offer solutions (while I'm flattered, there are people far smarter than I, that can propose solid solutions). I have also seen Conservatives offer better solutions than what Obama is trying to implement, especially in regards to the stimulus.

But what do you think? What has been your experience? Do you think Conservatives are a bunch of whiners with no plan for the future? Or can you show Conservatives with solutions?

I'll provide you with 2 Conservatives I know that have been offering solutions: Steve Rathje (http://www.steverathje.com) is one. And I think you can find him here on the CPR Community. And also Gary Smith, who is a regular guest on the Radio show. Find him here on the CPR Community too.

Who are your Conservatives with solutions?

Unfortunately in the area of poly-making and implementation, I don't think there are any Conservatives in a place to make any changes. Republicans have gone so liberal that you can't tell the players even with a scorecard!

I'm hopeful that a new batch of congressional candidates is rising, through many different avenues (9/12 Project, Tea Parties, American Independent Party, American Liberty Alliance, and more). They all seem intent on running in Republican prmaries, to being the GOP back to its Reagan roots, instead of forming a Third Party (AIP excepted, though I think they will support the most conservative candidate if they do not have one running in a district).

These are Constitutionally-minded people. Back to basics kind of folks. Though the Heritage Foundation has a lot of positions that are acceptable and laudable, they have no voice when it comes right down to it...all they do is talk, though they opffer solutions. It will be necessary for someone to pick up those ideas and run with them, which some of those up and coming candidates are doing.

Right now, you can't tell a Republican from a Democrat on Capitol Hill. In 18 months, we will be able to. Until then, we need to look for those conservatives who have great ideas and support them.

And the only great idea is to ask of every bit of legislation put in front of them "Do we have the Constitutional Authority to even consider this, let alone pass it?" If the answer is no, then theyy need to vote against it and explain loudly how it is unconstitutional.

There is hope. But it's going to be a long year until the election. And Web 2.0 will save the Conservative Revival...

Sorry for the ramble!
